QEGS Basketball Tournament 2016

On Tuesday 19th of January Osmaston Primary School went to QEGS to take part in a Basketball Tournament. Osmaston entered 3 teams- 2 into pool Blue and 1 into pool Red. The A team won their first match 14-2. The second match ended in a 28-2 win, the third one we won 8-4. We went on to win the last two games 22-0 and 8-2. The A Team now go on to the SSP tournament on February 4th.
The B team played 5 games, we won the first game 12 – 6 against  Parkside Falcons, on the second game we lost 10 – 0, then on the third game we lost 4-8 against Osmaston A  but only by two baskets. The fourth game finished as a loss of 8-4 against Parkside Vipers on the fifth game we won 12 – 0 to Longford well done Osmaston B. Megan Startin got hit by the ball and was made to come off due to getting hurt. Unfortunately Osmaston B did not make it through to the next round.
The C team’s players were, Hannah the captain, Olivia, Ellie, Bella, Charlie and Samuel D. There first game they played was agents Parkside Cobras. The C team won 24-2. On their 2nd game was against Parkside Panthers they unfortunately lost 0-8. Their 3rd game they played BiggHarts but BiggHarts won 6-0. But they came back fighting in their 4th game against Marston and won 4-20.There finale game they lost against Fitzherbert 2-4. Over all in there pool they came 3rd. Although this wasn’t enough to go through.
