Sainsbury’s School Games Tri Golf SSP Finals 12/06/15
On Friday 12th June Osmaston Primary Schools Golf A- team travelled down to Matlock high fields school to play in the SSP Golf Finals. Soon after 1 o-clock they arrived at High Fields School eager and confident to win gold. When they arrived on the huge playing ground they had a small surprise because there were only two other teams to compete against. Shortly after the bell rang for everybody to take their positions in their first game. Osmaston's first game wasn’t as hard as they thought it was because they got an extremely high score. Then it was time for their next game. Before each golf game they had two minutes to practise their skills. They played extremely well. They had eight games to play and each one wasn't easy the best one they played was a game called Bulls eye because Daniel scored right in the middle of the target. The whole team was proud of him including Mrs. Allsop. At the end of the competitive tournament, all the three teams had a little rest before getting ready for the tense presentation. Finally the golf coach Aaron announced some special awards for people who had done something kind or spiritual. A couple of people from Osmaston School won an Award. They were for determination, passion, self-belief and good sportsman ship. In the end, Osmaston’s amazing golf A-team won gold with their outstanding score of 1864 points which was 700 points more than second place. Everybody had a great time and Osmaston left with great pride.
