D&T Days - We made fire engines!

EYFS & KS1 Sports day on the Rec - Thank you Primary Stars

A great music lesson with Miss Horobin

We explored a story from the Torah and made our own Moses baskets

We watched our caterpillars grow into beautiful butterflies, then we released them in our school garden

Whole-School Move-Up Day - We enjoyed spending the day in the classes we will be in, in September

Art Week - Yayoi Kusama

Hope UK Day - we raised £385 for this very worthy cause

Our annual trip to Alton Towers was a huge success! What a fantastic day we’ve had!

Thank you Mrs Hellaby for bringing Piper in to see us! We are looking forward to meeting her mum soon too, to see how a puppy grows into an adult

We enjoyed planting cress in our Science lesson and we can’t wait to watch it grow!

Year 2 investigated whether sound passes through materials and made string telephones! They experimented with the string being loose and tight to see whether the sound was clearer with a particular one

3D shape trains

We made wind vanes to investigate which way the wind was blowing during our Science lesson

We visited St. Martin’s church to look for the different features of a Christian place of worship

Chinese New Year Day!

We enjoyed investigating how light reflects on transparent objects and creates a rainbow

A fantastic morning taking part in the KS1 cross country!

We enjoyed working in teams to investigate gravity in our science lesson!

Our core text this half term is The Hodgeheg, and we had a very special visitor to support our learning!

We enjoyed using our sewing skills in DT to make felt Christmas decorations

We wrote letters to Santa and walked to the post box in the village to send them to him

We loved making our Christmas cards today

We used the net of a cube to make Christmas presents to go under our class Christmas tree

We wrote instructions, then followed them to make gingerbread men! They were so tasty!

We had a very special video message from the National Elf Service and received lovely gifts from them

Chesterfield at Christmas Trip - what a wonderful educational visit!

Christmas Jumper Day!

We made party hats for our Christmas dinner!

We enjoyed making decorations for our class Christmas tree

We made Olafs in Science, thinking about the best materials to use for a stuffed toy

We went on a lovely walk this afternoon

This half term, our core texts are Traditional Tales. The children loved reading and retelling the story of Little Red Riding Hood

We had a wonderful but wet afternoon at Forest School

In English, we followed instructions for how to make a paper airplane

We tested which materials are waterproof and which aren’t in Science

Year 1 had an excellent day at the local Ploughing Match

What a fantastic morning watching a theatre performance of ‘Sword in the Stone’

We had a wonderful morning at the EYFS & KS1 Football tournament

The children loved buying and eating their cakes at our MacMillan Coffee Morning
