Class 5 enjoyed dressing up for World Book Day.
We qualified for the SSP Sportshall Athletics at Anthony Gell. Everyone competed really well and we came 2nd overall.
We qualified for the SSP netball tournament where we played really well and came 2nd.
We qualified for the SSP Basketball tournament which we won to qualify for the County Finals!

We made calendars for 2024 as part of our Art lessons.
Our Christmas Show-Panto Pandemonium. This was a great success with fabulous singing, dancing and acting!
Year 5/6 Hockey Tournament at QEGS. All children played really well showing great determination and sportsmanship.
We had a visit from The Clay Rooms who helped us make fabulous snowmen!
QEGS Tag Rugby Year 5 & 6. We took 4 teams to this event with our A team winning all of their matches, the B team winning all but 1 of their matches and the other teams also doing really well.
QEGS Cross Country Event
Class 5 had fun investigating and learning about static electricity.
Class 5 enjoyed a fire safety talk and were very lucky to have a visit from the fire engine at the same time.
Our forest school session this week embraced the wet weather!!
Class 5 had a fabulous workshop with Autin Dance Theatre and The Ashbourne Arts Festival performing dances with puppets.

Year 6 have completed their level 1 Bikeability

Year 5 have been investigating the maths in Wassily Kandinsky's art work as part of their learning on shapes and angles.
Class 5 were challenged to design something that spins with K'Nex.
Year 6 have been out and about on their bikes, completing level 2 of their bikeability course.
Class 5 create some 'Egg'cellent Easter scenes!
Class 5 had the opportunity to support the White family during lambing season.
Class 5 are busy refining their hockey skills for the upcoming tournament.
During their swimming lessons, Class 5 have been learning about water safety.
Class 5 have been amazing, representing our school in many sporting events this term, including football, tag rugby and cross country.
Class 5 loved making their clay Christmas gnomes today! Thank you to 'The Clayrooms' for a great workshop!
Class 5 have enjoyed watching a performance of, 'The Sword in the Stone'.
